Holy Week Preacher

Bishop Eric Menees will be the guest speaker.
Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of San Joaquin
I am a 10th generation Los Angeleno. I was raised in a wonderful but nominally believing family.
I came to faith my freshman year of high school when my friend invited me to church to meet a cute girl but what I found was a living faith in Jesus Christ.
After having prayed the sinner's prayer and committing myself to Jesus Christ on a youth group trip in Tijuana Mexico I was baptized three months later and confirmed five months after that with my parents.
I knew almost immediately that I was called to the ordained ministry and have been blessed to know nothing else my entire adult life.
I took my BA in religious studies at CSU Long Beach, my MDiv with an emphasis in pastoral studies at the General Theological Seminary, and my DMin in congregational growth and development from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary.
I have been honored to serve the Lord in urban, cross-cultural, suburban, and rural settings.
God in his divine providence made me a bishop in 2011 and I have been blessed and honored to serve since then in the Anglican Diocese of San Joaquin.
Along the way God brought Florence Mira into my life and granted us two wonderful children, Milagro and Sebastian.
I cannot imagine my life without them or how I could be more blessed.
In the Anglican Church in North America I have the privilege of representing the province to the Anglican Church of South America acting as an ambassador, and as ecumenical officer and representative to the Roman Catholic Church.
